We all know moms are very busy, and we don’t always have time for ourselves. So I thought I would throw together 3 easy exercises to do at home. Most of us moms after kids end up with some main problem areas. So here is a list of 3 easy exercises for your butt, legs, and tummy!
Butt – Single Leg Squat
Start with your feet together, lift one leg up and make sure that the the toes are pointed towards the ceiling.
Now squat down. As you’re squatting down, you can lift your arms out in front of you for balance.
Return to your starting position and do it over.
Here is a video to help you:
Legs – Squat With Ball Against The Wall
This is how it sounds. Get your big exercise ball, press it against the wall with your back.
Then squat down until your legs are at 90 degrees. You can add dumbbells like in the video below too.
And back up again.

Tummy – Bicycles
This is basically how it sounds.
Lay on your back, put your hands behind your head.
Put your feet in the air and ride your bicycle. Okay, maybe it doesn’t quite go like that, but watch the video, it does a better job of explaining this one than I can.
These are a few exercises that I regularly incorporate into my workout. Some of my absolute favorite workouts are Zumba on the Wii and Supreme 90 Day. Supreme 90 Day is a less expensive version of P90X but for me it is just as intense and I like the different workouts I get with Supreme 90 Day everyday. The kids love “working out” with us and it is nice feeling the burn when I’m done.
The truth is, there are so many exercises us as parents can do, it is just when we choose to take care of ourselves because we are so busy, but I feel like a different person (one who is much more patient) when I take care of myself and my body.
What are some exercises that you do at home? How do you take care of yourself?
